Affirmation of Faith

Leader:       We believe in the Father who is God Almighty.

Audience:  The Creator of all things and the preserver of light and life.

Leader:       We believe in the Son, who is Jesus Christ, God's only begotten son.

Audience:  He was human and divine, truly lived, suffered and died, rose again

from the dead, ascended on high and is coming again.

Leader:       We believe that Jesus was sent by God to reveal God to man.

Audience:  That whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish but have

                    everlasting life.

Leader:       We believe in the Holy Ghost who was sent from God the Father and the Son.

Audience:  That the Holy Spirit convicts and converts sinners, dwells in the believer,

keeps the believer from the power of sin, and leads him to the Father

                    through His son, Jesus Christ.

Leader:       We believe the Bible is the Word of God, given by inspiration through

                    holy men.

Audience:  That in the Bible God seeks to reveal His will to man and man seeks

                    to respond to God's revelation

Leader:       We believe that the union of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost is revealed

                    through His church.

Audience:   That all believers are united into one body, the church.

Leader:       We believe that Christ is coming back for his Holy Church without

                    spot or wrinkle.

All:              That without holiness in spirit, soul, and body, no man shall se the Lord.

What We Believe

Concerning The Scripture:

We believe that the Bible is the word of God, given by inspiration through holy men, and that it is the revelation of God's will to mankind, and that the scriptures are without error.

The Unity of God

We believe there is one true God.  The supreme ruler of heaven and earth. Glorious in holiness and worthy of all praise, and that in the unity of the Godhead, there are three persons; the Father, Son, and the Holy Ghost equal in divine attribute;executing distinct offices;yet perfectly one in purpose.

The Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit is a divine person: equal with God the Father and God the Son; that He was active in the creation;that He convicts and converts sinners;that He is the agent in the New Testament that endues with power, guides, teaches, witnesses, sanctifies and helps the believer.

Creation

We believe that man was created in a state of innocence, to live forever, but, by voluntarily disobeying the command of God, feel into a sinful state.  The consequence of that action is that all men are now sinners by birth.

The Atonement For Sin

We believe that through the death of Christ on the cross, His burial, and resurrection, all men are saved by faith in His finished work.  His blood paid the price for our sins.

Justification

We believe that all who have believed on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and have accepted Him into their lives by faith have been granted pardon of their sins and are now just before God.  This justification is not because of any works we have done, but by the grace and mercy of God.

The Church

We believe the church is a congregation of baptized believers united by the common bond of salvation through Christ. The church observe  the ordinances of Christ and is governed by His word.  The duty of the church is to teach and nurture its' members and to spread the gospel to a los and dying world.

Water Baptism

Baptism and water should be observed by all who have repented of their sins and have accepted Jesus into their hearts.  Water baptism does not save you, for to add anything to the redemptive work of the cross as the method of salvation would suggest that the redemptive work of the cross is not sufficient. However, when we are baptized in water, we follow the example of Jesus Christ, Himself who was baptized by John the Baptist. We also show that we are not ashamed to be identified with Him.

The Lord's Supper ( Communion)

On the first Sunday of each month, we partake of the Lord's Supper. Jesus instructed his disciples to do this in remembrance of Him. We do this to show forth the Lord's death until He comes.  The bread is a symbol of Christ's body and the wine a symbol of His blood.
